Hi all.
I'm excited to announce the release of a cover song.
It's one of my favorite songs by The Grateful Dead & it's called Jack Straw.
This is the first of many Grateful Dead songs we will be releasing.

Believe it or not, originally this song was a rather “raunchy” song full of what some people consider to be “foul language” and sexual imagery. But seeing as how my mother expressed an interest in listening to my music (and knowing her dislike of “foul language”), I rewrote the lyrics to be more palatable to her and to the general public.
So now, this song is pretty much a "love at first sight" kind of song.
A guy unexpectedly sees a beautiful girl and falls head-over-heels in love.
But...is it REALLY love at first sight? Or is it just lust disguised as love?
There's no right or wrong answer. Feel free to choose what ever kind of story you like.
Much like the song "Heat Stroke" this song was originally a “dirty” song full of swearing and sexual imagery. But again, seeing as how my mother expressed an interest in listening to my music (and knowing her dislike of “foul language”), I rewrote the lyrics to be more palatable to her and to the general public.
So now, this song is basically about having a psychedelic experience.
If the title of this song isn't enough of a dead give-away, you can read through the lyrics in the video. For example: Lucy in the sky, a smoking caterpillar (an Alice in Wonderland reference) etc.....it becomes self-evident.
This song is essentially about trying to relax but whenever you attempt to do so:
You take it to the next level and go off the rails. Quite possibly resulting in an activity that ends badly for you and other people.
OR....Someone gets in the way or there's something on your mind that makes it impossible to do so.
